About CCC

Courthouse Community Centre (CCC)

The Courthouse Community Centre (CCC) is the sister charity of Jamyang London Buddhist Centre.

We are a non-denominational charity that caters for the needs of people within Jamyang Buddhist Centre but also in the wider community, from all backgrounds and religious affiliations, or none.

CCC aims to offer practical support through its various projects such as Repaying the Kindness, Dying Well, School Visits, Walks,  Open Garden Squares Weekend, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Courses and Interfaith events; all coordinated by Jane Sill and a small team of volunteers.

Finally, the Courthouse Community Centre (CCC) includes local community engagement in various forms:

  • Hospital and Prison Chaplaincy provides a Buddhist chaplain to the chaplaincy team at the Royal Brompton Hospital. We encourage Buddhists in our community who wish to get involved in Buddhist hospital chaplaincy to work through the contact network at the Buddhist Society.
  • Network of Buddhist Organisations (NBO) Jamyang London Buddhist Centre is represented on the UK Network and keeps in close contact with the Buddhist Society. It is through these 2 well-established umbrella organisations that we keep up with the ever-changing Buddhist scene in the UK. We also have close relations with London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).

If you would like to volunteer for any of our projects or offer material support, please e-mail Jane.

We would love to hear from you.
