About this Session
In this session we will look in a little more depth at the Noble Eightfold Path, the central role of the mind in Buddhism and the practicalities of engaging in a contemplative path, cultivating meditative practices and disciplines, the Four Seals, taking refuge or safe direction and lay precepts.
Is this for me?
Absolutely! If you’re curious about Buddhism, or perhaps have read about it and would like to find out more, this course is a great starting point.
What can I expect?
Classes will include a combination of teaching, discussion, questions & answers, as well as meditation. Over the eight sessions, students will cover topics such as ‘Who is the Buddha?’, ‘What did the Buddha teach?’, ‘What does it mean to be Buddhist?’, ‘How can we practice?’ and ‘What is the essence of the Path?’.
