Community Workshop: Illuminating Jamyang’s Intent

What are the principles to guide Jamyang’s actions through the planetary crisis we face?  

Join us for a vital community workshop as we develop our “statement of commitment,” outlining our core principles for guiding us through these challenging times. This session will be facilitated by Rob Hopkins and aims to gather valuable input from our community members. 

Context:  

Last April, leaders from the FPMT European region gathered at Jamyang Buddhist Center to discuss the role of a dharma center during this time of planetary crisis. Our community has been reflecting on this question for years, resulting in concrete actions like our transition to a plant-based kitchen last November 2023. 

We are now at a point where we wish to articulate a “statement of commitment” to highlight our progress and define the core principles guiding us through these challenging times. This statement will stretch us and hold us accountable as a community.
