June 28 @ 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until November 25, 2022
About this event
Buddhist teachings are varied, vast, profound and elaborate. Their common purpose is to take us further along the path to liberation from the ignorance of ego-grasping that binds us to a state of suffering and dissatisfaction.
For that to happen, we need to suffuse our minds with what we learn through meditation, transforming academic knowledge into realisations, or experiential wisdom.
This regular drop-in session allows students to practice various Buddhist meditations with their peers. Various Jamyang students guide the practice based on traditional Buddhist meditations. Hop aboard the Dharma Express!
Is this for me?
The sessions presume some familiarity with basic Buddhist concepts and practice, however all are welcome to come and try them out. If you are new to Buddhism, you may benefit from attending the introductory course, Buddhism in a Nutshell, first.
What can I expect?
An short guided meditation session held by various students of Jamyang, drawing on various traditional Buddhist meditation outlines.
How do I join?
Just turn up! If you’d like to make a donation you can do so on arrival. Recommended donation: £5. Arrive at 18:20 for a 18:30 start.
Sessions will be paused during the month of August!
