About this course
Discovering Buddhism is a foundation-level, two-year course on the Buddhist path as presented within the Nalanda tradition of Buddhism, which originates in the historic Nalanda monastery in India and has been preserved by on the Tibetan plateau. The popular course has been developed by FPMT (The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition), the organisation to which Jamyang London Buddhist Centre is affiliated. A new cycle of Discovering Buddhism launched at Jamyang in May 2022.
You can find details about the course here. If you would like to join the course, please get in touch by emailing Kamlo, our Spiritual Programme Coordinator at [email protected]. Enrolment grants new students access to the learning platform where they will find recordings of previous teachings and other learning materials which they can use to catch up at their own pace.
Is this for me?
As this is an in-depth, multi-year course, it presumes some familiarity with basic Buddhist concepts, either gained through self-study and reading, or through attending and entry-level course such as Buddhism in a Nutshell.
