About the Course
Are you curious about Buddhism? Many sophisticated techniques for developing mental health can be found in ancient Buddhist teachings, such as mindfulness, compassion and selflessness. These methods have been well researched and documented in various fields of contemporary science. In this course we’ll explore the fundamental aspects of the Buddhist tradition, including the analysis of the human condition encapsulated by the teaching of the Four Noble Truths, as well as the nature of the mind and reality. We’ll also learn how to apply this knowledge in our daily life. Our resident teacher, Geshe Namdak, will clearly explain the traditional teachings of the Buddha in a down-to-earth and practical way.
About Geshe Namdak
Our Resident Teacher, Geshe Tenzin Namdak, was given full ordination by HH Dalai Lama and completed the twenty-year-long Geshe degree. A Dutch citizen who teaches in English, he’s known for his warm, gentle and inclusive style.
