In person event
Our first ever in-person gathering is dedicated for Queer identified or LGBTQ+ identified people who are studying Buddhism or are practicing Buddhists, and interested in sharing experiences with others as part of our new affinity group at Jamyang.
Building off of the momentum of our first online meet-ups earlier this year, we hope to use this newly dedicated space to empower LGBTQ+ members of the Jamyang community.
We hope to create a place where people can see themselves reflected in the stories of their fellow students and practitioners, where they can feel affirmed and uplifted, and where they can explore and unpack the nuances of their lived experience in a conducive and supportive setting.
What can I expect?
Our meeting will include light refreshments from the Jamyang Courtyard Café and will be hosted by our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Co-ordinator Kunsang Kelden, and Jamyang senior student Mike Murray.
