Ngöndro (Preliminary Practices Groups)
September 10 @ 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
An event every month that begins at 10:00 am on day Second of the month, repeating until November 12, 2022

About this practice
To make our minds suitable for developing realisations of the stages of the path to Enlightenment, we need to accumulate merit, purify negative karma and remove obstacles to our study and practice. A particularly effective way of accomplishing this is through preliminary practices, or Ngöndro. Within the Geluk tradition of Buddhism, there are traditionally 9 preliminaries, and these sessions are an opportunity to practice some of them with fellow students.
What can I expect?
A peer-led practice group where students can support each other in making progress with their preliminary practice accumulations.
Is this for me?
These sessions are practice groups, not teachings. So at least a basic familiarity with the practices, or having received teachings on them before, is assumed.
