An Introduction to Buddhist Philosophy & Psychology

COURSE with Geshe Tenzin Namdak

TUE | 4 JUNE - 2 JULY | 19:00 - 20:30

Suggested donation £10 each evening

/ABOUT

For those who can’t attend the Sunday with Geshe Namdak in early June he is offering five weekday evenings introducing Buddhist history, theory and practice based on the well structured FPMT introductory course Buddhism in a Nutshell.

Participants will learn about the life of the Buddha and its relevance to our lives now and a little about Buddhist history and its spread to Tibetan.  They will get an overview of the key methods to open up our heart with compassion and wisdom and learn why Buddhists think that the unenlightened life is not the only option available to us. They will also learn why we think the opportunity to live a fully enlightened life is available to all by being a part of our very nature.

/TEACHER

Geshe Tenzin Namdak was given full ordination by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is our new resident teacher.  He recently gained his Geshe degree, the equivalent of a doctorate of philosophy in our education system. A Dutch citizen, he teaches in English and is well known for his warm gentle inclusive style.
