Recitation of the Sanghata Sutra

Recitation of the Sanghata Sutra
Led by Ros Williams and Viva Hart
18:00 - 19:00

from 12 to 19 February

The Sanghata Sutra is one of the three Mahayana Sutras recommended for recitation aloud by our founding Lama, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche.  The other two are the sutra of Golden Light and the Diamond Cutter Sutra.
The last eight days of the first half of the first month of the Tibetan New Year are considered highly auspicious and more intense practice is highly recommended at this time. This is the time when we recall the Buddha Shakyamuni's display of magical powers at Sravasti in ancient India and also the Great Prayer Festival begun by Je Rinpoche Tsongkhapa in the 15th century.
Please do come along to the Centre to generate positive energy, merit, that will support us on our path towards full enlightenment for the benefit of all.
But if you cannot come along, please recite a little bit of the sutra everyday at home or on your travels and dedicate the merit you make to the long lives of our precious teachers, the longevity of the Buddha's teachings and full freedom from suffering and full enlightenment for all sentient beings.
The evenings will be led by two long-standing students of the Jamyang London community, Ros Williams and Viva Hart.

12,13, 14, 15 and 19 February (led by Ros Williams)

16, 17, 18 February (led by Viva Hart)

Donations welcome

Dharma teachings run on a 'Generosity model', completely on voluntary donations. By donating you will help create the conditions for the teachings to be available, the meals to be served, accommodations to be clean, for the doors to be open and the lights on. Therefore people of any faith or background are welcome.

Booking is not mandatory but highly recommended it because Jamyang can give you a better service
