Altruism and Ethics

Altruism and Ethics

DAY COURSE with Geshe Tenzin Namdak

SUN | 29 SEPTEMBER  | 10:00 - 16:00

Altruism and compassion for others is the essence of Buddhism. Why is this so important for us as individuals and for all beings around us?
How do we motivate us for generating a universal moral framework?

Geshe Namdak will help us to understand these points with teachings and guided meditations and we will learn straightforward practices to deepen our compassion for others.

Geshe Tenzin Namdak was given full ordination by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is our new resident teacher.  He recently gained his Geshe degree, the equivalent of a doctorate of philosophy in our education system. A Dutch citizen, he teaches in English and is well known for his warm, gentle, inclusive style.

All welcome. Suggested donation £30 (lunch not included)

No prior knowledge assumed.

No-one will be turned away due to lack of funds

Dharma teachings run on a 'Generosity model', based on voluntary donations. By donating you will help create the conditions for the teachings to be available, meals to be served, accommodation to be clean, for the doors to be open and the lights on. Therefore people of any faith or background are welcome.

Booking is not mandatory but highly recommended because Jamyang can give you a better service.
