Introduction to Mahamudra
Introduction to Mahamudra
/ABOUT
Mahamudra is a quintessentially Tibetan Buddhist presentation of meditation on the ultimate nature of mind. In these three introductory evenings John will explore some of the basic instructions as expounded in ‘The Bright Torch’, a key text by Tsele Natsok Rangdrol which formed the basis for the teachings by Geshe Tashi Tsering, now Abbot of Sera Mey monastic university, at his most recent annual Ackworth retreats. No previous experience is needed to attend these classes.
/TEACHER
John is a long-time member of Jamyang and former Chair of Trustees. He has been leading classes for a number of years and is one of Geshe Tashi Tsering’s senior students. Well known for his humor and light-hearted approach, the classes will be interactive with an opportunity to explore the text and to ask questions.
