The World of Consciousness

The World of Consciousness

DAY COURSE with Geshe Tenzin Namdak

SUN | 27 OCTOBER  | 10:00 –16:00

The first event in our occasional Buddhism and Science series takes a look at the question "What is Consciousness" from the perspectives of our Buddhist tradition and of contemporary science. There are many similarities between Buddhist mind-science and new findings in contemporary science exploring the world of consciousness.  Studies of meditation, out-of-body experiences and non-local consciousness will be discussed, as well as the correlations between mind and brain.

Geshe Tenzin Namdak was given full ordination by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is our new resident teacher.  He recently gained his Geshe degree, the equivalent of a doctorate of philosophy in our education system. A Dutch citizen, he teaches in English and is well known for his warm, gentle, inclusive style.
