Satyananda Yoga *with Judy Watchman
A broad range of yoga techniques will be utilised in such a way as to enhance internal awareness. These include both static and dynamic asanas (postures), breathing, pranayamas (utilising the breath to build and expand energy), mudras (energy circuits), bandhas (energy locks), yoga Nidra (deep relaxation with inner wakefulness), and meditation techniques.
These practices help to increase and refine the energy whilst gradually bringing the mind to a steady focused point, thereby bringing a sense of perspective and calm, and facilitating meditation. We will learn techniques that can can be used moment to moment as we deal with life's challenges.
