Thurman to Jamyang on Friday 7 November at 6.30pm for an evening lecture and live Q&A. \n\n\nSpeaking on the topic of The Great 14th Dalai Lama as Guru Mahāvajradhara\, the occasion is an historic one for our community. This will be the very first time Professor Thurman—renowned author\, pioneering translator of Buddhist texts\, and the first Westerner ordained as a Tibetan Buddhist monk by His Holiness the Dalai Lama—will be giving a dialogue at Jamyang.\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker\nA leading voice in bringing Tibetan wisdom to the West\, he is co-founder of Tibet House US and the Menla Healing Center\, and holds the Jey Tsong Khapa Chair of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies at Columbia University.
