DESCRIPTION:Saturday 29th November – 11am – 4pm\n\n\n30 Years at the Old CourthouseCelebrating Jamyang’s home in South London. \nIn 1995\, Jamyang found its home in the historic Old Courthouse in Kennington. What was once a place of punishment and reform has\, over three decades\, been remade into a place of peace\, compassion\, growth and transformation. \nThis November\, we invite you to join us in celebrating 30 years at the Old Courthouse – a day of joy\, connection\, and community spirit. \nFrom our humble beginnings in the 1970s – gatherings in front rooms\, houses\, and even squats – to securing the courthouse in South London\, Jamyang’s story has always been about people coming together to share the Buddhadharma and to build community. Today\, the courthouse is a thriving centre for study and practice\, and a place of welcome for people from all walks of life. \nFor this special occasion\, we’ll be gathering students and friends from across the five decades of Jamyang’s story – including our sister communities at Jamyang Leeds and Land of Joy – to honour the past\, celebrate the present\, and look with joy to the future. \nExpect a light-hearted\, festive day filled with: \n\nStories and memories from Jamyang’s journey\nOpportunities to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones\nCelebrations with music\, food\, and entertainment\nA joyful atmosphere of togetherness and appreciation\n\nWhether you’re a long-time student or new to our community\, this is your celebration too.
