SUMMARY:Remembering Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:Join us in commemorating the three year anniversary of Rinpoche showing the aspect of passing away. \nFollowing the Parinirvana of our holy guru\, Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche\, we invite you\, our beloved community members whose ultimate happiness was Rinpoche’s constant and only concern\, to join us\, online or in person\, to create the causes for His swift return\, so that we may be able to very quickly receive teachings in His physical presence again\, and so that all beings as vast as space may continue to benefit from His holy activities. \n  \n\nChanting the Names of Noble Manjushri (17:00-17:45)\n\nFollowing the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama many students of Rinpoche have been reciting this precious text for the swift return of Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s reincarnation. We will be holding a group recitation of the text Chanting the Names of Noble Manjushri \n\nA teaching from the archives (18:00-19:00)\n\nAfter reciting sutra we will watch an excerpt of some archival footage of Rinpoche giving a Dharma teaching here at Jamyang. \n\nStory Telling (19:00-20:00) – in-person\n\nAfter the teaching we will convene to the newly opened Kindness Cafe here at Jamyang for tea and cake\, and to share stories of Rinpoche. Apologies to our friends from further afield but this part of the evening will not be available online. \n  \nHow to join \nJoin us in the gompa at Jamyang or online via livestream on the Jamyang YouTube channel. DESCRIPTION:About Medicine Buddha Puja \n\nIn Person Only\n\nPujas are rituals in which consecrated offerings – such as food\, water\, light and incense – are made to an enlightened being for the sake of creating conditions for progress on the spiritual path\, as well as removing obstacles. These offerings are made alongside prayer and chanting. \nThe seven Medicine Buddhas\, attainers of bliss\, strongly prayed for the temporal and ultimate happiness of yourself and all sentient beings. They vowed that their prayers would be actualized during these degenerate times when the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha are in decline. As the buddhas’ holy speech is irrevocable\, you can wholly trust in their power to quickly grant blessings to help all sentient beings in these degenerate times\,” Lama Zopa Rinpoche instructs  “If you pray to Guru Medicine Buddha\, you will quickly accomplish all that you wish. Just hearing the holy name of Guru Medicine Buddha and the sound of his mantra closes the door to rebirth in the suffering lower realms. It is written in the scriptures that you should not have a two-pointed mind (doubt) with regard to these benefits”. \nHow can I join?\nJust turn up!
