Spring and Summer here at Jamyang has brought new energy, change and a sense of renewal. Moya has been hard at work freshening the place up and decluttering, Venerable Wangyal has been hard at work simplifying our processes so that we focus on what really matters. All of which has culminated in more time and spaciousness for our volunteers, whilst creating more opportunities for community members to get involved and help out at the centre.
Venerable Drolma and Venerable Wangyal recently visited a flower merchant in Covent Garden to explore a more sustainable alternative to cut flowers. Now, the flowers on the altar at Jamyang include dried bouquets of native aromatic flowers that will last much longer than fresh cut flowers – drastically reducing the amount of water and carbon involved in production and transportation.

This is one way in which the Jamyang team are embracing simplicity and endeavoring to tread lightly on this earth. You can read more about our sustainability principles by clicking the image below.
