Mending Circle: Making Peace Poppies

This October, our Mending Circle will include a special session making white poppy brooches. White coloured poppies remember not only soldiers, but all those whose lives have been affected by war and express a commitment to peace.
Whether you’d like to make a white poppy or simply bring along your own mending, everyone is warmly welcome.
What is the Mending Circle?
Mending Circle is a gentle un-facilitated space to mend textiles. It is to promote a low impact living, shared love and care for ourselves as well as what we have, or just simply to savour the joy of communal hand-sewing activities while sharing a pot of tea.
Bring clothes you’d want to mend. Threads and needles are provided. We do hand-sewing only.
Everyone is welcome, no previous experience is necessary. For more information about this group, click here.
