🕯️ Honouring Geshe Namgyal Wangchen – 10 Years On 🕯️
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of Geshe Namgyal Wangchen, a teacher deeply cherished by many of Jamyang’s founding community and students and Lamas throughout our tradition and organisation.
To honour his memory, we’re opening the Centre on Monday 18 August for a special in-person puja, which also coincides with a Lama Chopa tsog day. The evening will be led by Mike Murray, who has kindly offered to guide the practices and organise helpers on the day.

- 17:00–18:30 Lama Chopa Tsog
- 19:00–19:45 Tara Practices for Geshe Wangchen’s Anniversary led by Mike Murray
During the Tara Practice, prayers will be dedicated to:
- The swift recognition of Geshe Wangchen’s reincarnation (his rebirth has taken place in Nepal, but the incarnation has not yet been formally recognised)
- The removal of obstacles to Yangten Rinpoche’s upcoming visit
All are welcome to attend. This gathering will be in-person only, and we hope to see you there as we come together in remembrance, aspiration, and practice.
