Sunday Dharma Talk with Geshe Tashi

April 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Hybrid Event
Event Series (See All)
£15.00 – £25.00

Curious about Buddhism, or looking to reconnect with its timeless wisdom in everyday life? Our Sunday Dharma Talks offer a welcoming and relaxed space to explore Buddhist teachings in a way that is both practical and relatable.

These informal talks are led by a rotating group of experienced Buddhist teachers and meditation instructors, each bringing many years of lived practice to their teaching. On the third Sunday of each month, they share insights drawn from the Buddhist tradition and from real life – speaking in a down-to-earth way that meets us exactly where we are.

This month we are both honoured and excited to be welcoming Jamyang’s former resident teacher, Geshe Tashi Tsering to the podium. Much loved in the UK and in India for his warm-hearted wisdom, Geshe Tashi is currently fulfilling the wishes of HH the Dalai Lama by serving as Director of the Dalai Lama Centre for Tibetan and Indian Ancient Wisdom in Bodhgaya, India. The topic of his talk with us will focus on the groundbreaking work of this initiative at the forefront of the confluence between ancient wisdom and modern science & technology.

Format: Hybrid (In-person & on zoom)
When: Third Sunday of each month
Suggested donation: £15 per session

How to Join?

Donation

Jamyang operates on a generosity model. Please select the donation option that is most suitable for your situation.

Jamyang is a non-profit charitable organisation that relies on the kindness of our donors, including students and community members. The donations, or Dana, given when registering for events and teachings support the Centre’s operations, allowing us to deliver our activities. If you’re able to give a little more, that’s wonderful; if a little less, that’s fine too. These donations help with essentials like feeding residential volunteers, housing our monastics, and keeping our doors open. However, we wish to emphasise that the Dharma is always offered freely and no-one is ever excluded because of their financial status, please do not hesitate to request a reduced rate.

For Monastics

We would like to offer this teaching to ordained sangha members for free. If you are ordained sangha please register here.
