About the course

This 6-week meditation course brings mindfulness and loving-kindness into one integrated practice of Heartfulness; where the heart meets mindfulness. Suitable for all levels, including complete beginners, the techniques taught over these 6-weeks are perfect for helping to bring greater presence of mind and warmth of heart to our busy daily lives.

 

What to expect

Each session includes some guided meditation practices and concludes with about 15 minutes to share experiences, discuss and ask questions.

The sessions are all about learning to integrate meditation into our daily lives and includes daily optional exercises to continue with at home, work and play.

Chairs and meditation cushions will be provided within a tranquil space conducive for meditation.

 

 

 

About the teacher

Vinod placeholder

 

Vinod has been practicing meditation for over 30 years. In 1994 he was trained in Vipassana at the Wat Ram Poeng monastery in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Although not a buddhist monk, he accomplished the same degree of training. A few years later he earned his Mindfulness Teacher Training from Bangor University.

He currently facilitates the meditation retreats in Assisi, Italy and in London. In the earlier part of his career, he worked in the corporate world as a lawyer before joining various non-profit organisations including; the UNHCR and Amnesty International Secretariat in London. In Amnesty International he helped people dealing with sexual & gender equality, migrant & refugee rights, compassionate care for drug addicts and animal welfare.

Attend in-person or join us online via Zoom. If you can, please register with the appropriate ticket option below, as this helps us to plan effectively. You can also just show up on the day!

 

Donation

Jamyang operates on a generosity model. We suggest a recommended donation of £15 per class, please choose this option if you can. We wish to emphasise that no-one is ever excluded for financial reasons, please do not hesitate to request a reduced rate or just show up on the day! Request a reduced rate.

Jamyang is a non-profit charitable organisation that relies on the kindness of our donors, including students and community members. The donations, or Dana, given when registering for events and teachings support the centre’s operations, allowing us to deliver our activities. If you’re able to give a little more, that’s wonderful; if a little less, that’s fine too. These donations help with essentials like feeding residential volunteers, housing our monastics, and keeping our doors open.
