Losar Shakyamuni Buddha Puja

Join the Jamyang community for this very special Losar celebration and Shakyamuni Buddha Puja.

This practice commemorates the start of the fifteen days of miracles when Guru Shakyamuni Buddha showed miraculous powers to inspire faith in his followers. All fifteen days are merit multiplying days, when the merit of virtuous actions performed on each of these days is multiplied by 100 million, according to the vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic.

We will be using the abridged Shakyamuni Buddha Puja text. The prayers will be screenshared during the session, but it’s also possible to download them to your device beforehand.

How to Join

You are welcome to come to the centre to participate in-person, or join online via livestream on the Jamyang YouTube channel. You can also join the livestream by returning to this page when the event is due to start. There is no need to register in advance.
