June 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Event Series (See All)

About Meditate & Make

Meditate & Make is a free, dedicated space for people of colour and those from global majority backgrounds to connect through meditation, art-making and conversation, inspired by the space and place we are in.

Our monthly gatherings are a warm, inclusive space for creatively curious minds who are drawn to mindfulness, self-expression and community. Whether you’re interested in exploring meditation, making art, meeting new people, or all three, you’re welcome here.

Building on the spirit of affinity and belonging at Jamyang, this space seeks to affirm and uplift people of colour within our community. We are creating a place where people can see themselves reflected in the stories and creativity of others, while sharing space in a setting that feels supportive and genuinely welcoming.

What can I expect?

Each session begins with a grounding guided meditation, followed by gentle conversation and accessible creative activities using basic materials. This is not an art class with instruction – it’s a relaxed space to express yourself creatively alongside like-minded people.

Is this for me?

Even if you have never meditated before or you do not consider yourself to be a creative person, all are welcome! Join us for mindful art-making, and play. No prior experience of any kind is needed – just bring an open mind.

This session is specifically for people of colour and those who identify as part of the global majority. Whether you’ve joined us before or are brand new to the community, you are welcome.

How do I join?
We suggest saving your spot ahead of time to help the facilitator organise the session, but you’re also welcome to simply drop in.

Meditate & Make takes place in the Tara Room at Jamyang London Buddhist Centre.
