This morning, we followed Geshe-la’s meditation from the last teaching weekend, which can be found under Supporting Materials in Learndash here:
Meditation: Selflessness & Dependent Origination – Geshe Namdak.
I will be away next week, but the Zoom sessions will be open, so anyone can share a meditation, or have a chat/discussion if they wish.
Have a good weekend!
Diana PisaniParticipantThis morning’s meditation:
4a. Meditation: Close Placement on Phenomena – Ven. Yonten
Diana PisaniParticipantThis morning’s session followed:

Have a good week!
Diana PisaniParticipantWe’ve just been discussing this in the meditation group. There are three of us who’ve discussed a car share to Nalanda but I’m not sure whether they’ve made a definite decision on attending yet.
(I’m probably not attending, myself, but then I wouldn’t inflict my driving on anyone else anyway!)
Diana PisaniParticipantThis morning we followed:
4th Close Placement of Mindfulness Meditation
– Ven. Yonten (again! But Ven. Yonten posts so many good short meditations!)Diana PisaniParticipantThis morning, we revisited:
The Foundation of all Good Qualities Meditation – Ven. Yonten.
Have a good week!
Diana PisaniParticipantThis morning’s meditation was:
1d. Meditation: Close Placement on the Body: The Nine Cemetery Contemplations – Ven. Yonten.
This meditation involves visualising the decay of a corpse of a person who is approximately the same age as yourself, so please bear in mind that it might be upsetting. I apologise to whoever found it difficult to listen to this morning.
Diana PisaniParticipantThank you, Katrin! And thanks again to Laura F. for taking charge last week and yesterday.
This morning’s meditation was 1c. Meditation: Close Placement on the Body: Reflection the Material Elements (Ven. Yonten).
Diana PisaniParticipantPosting a link for tomorrow or one of next week’s sessions so someone else can share it.
The meditation is 30 minutes long, but the first 2 minutes are refuge and motivation setting.
Breath focus starts at 02:07 and the analysis of self begins at 07:30.Diana PisaniParticipantToday, we followed this meditation.
Analytical Meditation on Object of Negation – Ven. Yonten.
Diana PisaniParticipantThis morning’s meditation was an analysis on whether the self is one with, or different from, the aggregates.
I suspect we know the conclusion but, you know, no spoilers…12_Meditation_The 4 Keys (a.k.a. the Four-fold Analysis) (Ven. Yonten)
Tomorrow, Laura F is in charge and we are repeating the Ven. Yonten meditation on Identifying the Object of Negation – the link is a few posts above this one. (Thanks Laura!)
Diana PisaniParticipantTuesday’s meditation (thanks to Laura F and Media!) was:
Weekly_Six Perfections: Perfection of Joyous Effort & Intro to Concentration – Ven. Yonten.
The meditation starts at 01:12 but we started watching at 01:08 to get an introduction.Diana PisaniParticipantWe met up at the new time this morning and followed the meditation in:

From next week, starting on Monday 7th, we’ll meet at the following times:

This morning, the group revisited 4_Mindfulness with a Mental Image (Shiné / Shamatha / Serenity / Calm-Abiding)
A couple of us (including me) now have difficulty with the 9am start time, including me. I thought it would be a good time to see if there is any preference/objection for keeping the current timetable of 9am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Would before Morning Prayers work, or would that be too early? Any thoughts?
