Meet at 10:30 am for a prompt start at the top of the stairs by the exit of Brixton Tube station for this delightful walk.
About the Autumn Walk
This is a splendid opportunity to discover close to Jamyang in South London the many green spaces and parks to be celebrated and enjoyed. We begin by setting off for the open expanse of Brockwell Park that played a part in our successful bid for the Old Court House. Then we link several smaller parks and walkways to Dulwich Park where there will be a chance to get a lunch cafe break or bring your own refreshments.
There are stories of an Impressionist painter, and a bat tunnel along the way till we reach Crystal Palace Park to greet a giant gorilla and marvel at the dinosaurs before we end at Chrystal Palace over ground station for an easy return.
The full distance is ten miles but there are numerous transport options to shorten the walk which is mostly on firm ground with just one section through woodland that may be muddy if there has been rain.
