About the series
Double-up Dharma! Incredible teachers. Two sessions each. Profound Buddhist wisdom.

About these sessions
During her teachings, Venerable Robina often reminds us of what Lama Yeshe used to say: that he could tell us about attachment for a whole year and we still wouldn’t come close to describing it. In a sentence, attachment is the aspect of our mind that exaggerates the qualities of an object in our possession and causes us to wish not to be separated from it. While the concept is easy enough to express, as we begin to explore the nature of this disturbing emotion, we gradually come to realise that it determines our actions and experience of the world in a profound and pervasive way. The good news is: attachment is adventitious, and by employing the Buddha’s psychological techniques, we can eliminate it from our mind completely, and thereby find a deep and lasting peace of mind.

Propelled by attachment, we engage in physical, verbal and mental actions. The Buddhist psychological model asserts that once completed these actions leave traces on the mind which, in time, are experienced as suffering. It is a radical and disarming proposition, which needs investigating repeatedly before we come to a precise understanding of it. Venerable Robina communicates the concepts of attachment and karma in an inimitable way. Join her over two sessions to unravel these fundamental Buddhist themes.
