Explanations of Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga, Samayavajra and Dorje Khadro Practices with Geshe Tenzin Namdak

October 27 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

In 2021, Geshe Tenzin Namdak gave teachings at Jamyang London Buddhist Centre on Ngöndro, or preliminary practices. The teachings included explanations of Refuge, Prostrations, Vajrasattva purification, Mandalas, Water Bowls and Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga. To complete the full set of traditional preliminaries, this year he will teach on the Samayavarja and Dorje Khadro practices (the two preliminaries which require the practitioner to have received a highest yoga tantra initiation to engage in them), in addition to Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga according to the Highest Yoga Tantra.

The practices of Samayavaja and Dorje Khadro are taught to be especially effective for the purification of degenerated samaya or negative karma created in relation to the spiritual teacher.
