Jamyang’s Spring Walk

May 11 @ 10:45 am - 4:00 pm

Join our first walk of the year to a beautiful part of west London

Meeting Info

Meet at Richmond Station (accessed by Tube or Overground) at 10.45 am through the ticket barriers by the main exit.

About the Spring Walk

The adventure starts with historical jousting, a surprising Royal Castle and a lovely stretch of the River Thames, passing Britain’s finest example of an 18th century Gothic Revival House with a name alluding to a summer fruit. We head towards the gentle slopes of Richmond Park which was formerly the hunting grounds of Charles 1 in 1637 now home to herds of fallow and red deer in the designated National Nature Reserve.

At a cafe with panoramic views we stop for refreshments or packed lunch then cross the grasslands to the Isabella Plantation with 40 acres of glades, streams and ponds with collections of rhododendrons and azaleas which are at their most spectacular in late spring.

The walk terminates back at Richmond station finishing around 3.30/4 pm.

Please call Robin on 07442179739 for any further information.
