The King of Prayers | Geshe Tenzin Namdak
June 23 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
About this teaching
There are few texts that can ennoble the mind and expand its reach more than the King of Prayers. The text, formally titled The Extraordinary Aspiration of the Practice of Samantabhadra, expresses the bodhisattva’s heartfelt determination, motivated by an unfathomably vast compassion, to liberate all beings from their suffering by attaining the unsurpassed spiritual goal of complete Buddhahood. In the King of Prayers, the facets of this profound aspiration are enumerated, verse by verse, in the myriad practices, accomplishments and activities undertaken by a bodhisattva. The prayer offers a vision of a universe that is saturated, down to the tiniest atom, with the enlightened energy of infinite Buddhas and bodhisattvas, and in that respect, it is a message of hope and the fulfilment of our innate potential for freedom.
We are delighted that Geshe Tenzin Namdak will give an explanation of these captivating verses.
